We have found a number of insurance companies who will cover people with Nut Allergies. Nut allergy is the most common type of severe food allergy. It often starts when children are very young. Most first allergic reactions take place when a child is between 14 months and two years old. Nut snacks are on the way out on US airlines, due to allergies and illnesses which have been linked to peanuts.
The peanut treat will soon be taken off the menu after a US Department of Transportation decision to consider the banning of peanuts on commercial flights.
Twelve years ago, the department tried to have peanuts banned, but some members of Congress, lobbied by farmer's groups, threatened to cut the agency's budget.
Recently, a Centre for Disease Control and Prevention report said more than 3 million Americans have some kind of nut allergy, with cases of peanut allergy in children tripling since 1997.
Allergy sufferers can die from any contact with peanuts without immediate medical intervention.
